In the early 1990s, the Group started its property development business in Shenzhen. Of its many successful projects, Carrianna Friendship Square, completed in 1998, has become a landmark commercial complex in the central business district in Shenzhen.

Currently, the Group owns interests in the following two shopping malls in Shenzhen:

Carrianna Friendship Square, a shopping mall in the central business district of Lowu, Shenzhen. The Group owns GFA of 28,100 square metres.

The shopping mall at “The Imperial Square”, a high end residential/retail development in central Lowu, Shenzhen originally developed by the Group. The Group owns GFA of 4,900 square metres.

The Group also owns interests in a number of office and industrial properties in Hong Kong.

In addition, the Group operates two property development projects in Dongguan, Guangdong province and Yiyang, Hunan province respectively, with total planned gross floor area of 2,910,000 million square metres.

The commercial development in Dongguan, with GFA of 410,000 square metres upon completion, will become one of the largest trade and retail malls in the commercial district in Dongguan. The Group owns an equity interest of 50% in this project.

The residential development in Yiyang, comprising total planned GFA of 2.5 million square metres, is situated at a premium location with superior lake view. The Group owns an equity interest of 87.5% in this project.

Trade & Logistics

With China’s accelerated integration into the global economy since its admission into the WTO, trade and logistics activities have grown significantly in China. For the next decade, domestic consumption will become the key driver of GDP growth and wholesale and logistics activities for the local economy are expected to be one of the fastest growing sectors in China.

The Group was a founding shareholder of China South City Holdings Limited (Stock code: 1668), Started in 2002, China South City has built and operates an integrated trade and logistics centre of over 2,600,000 square metres in Pinghu, Shenzhen. Ideally located in the manufacturing hub of the Pearl River Delta, this centre provides trading, exhibition, information sharing, warehousing, distribution, transportation and settlement services for many categories of industrial materials.

In the last few years, China South City has expanded its operation to several provincial capitals in the mainland and has become the leading developer and operator of large scale, integrated trade and logistics centres in China. In 2009, it was listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

The Group has also invested in “China East International Trade City”, which is to become a large-scale wholesale and retail market for consumer goods. Located in Lianyangang, Jiangsu province, and with planned GFA of 3 million square metres, “China East International Trade City” is poised to emerge as the largest integrated trade and logistics centre in the coastal area covering both Shandong province and Jiangsu province.

Started in the 1980s in Hong Kong, Carrianna Chiuchow restaurant has become the brand of choice for high end Chiu Chow cuisine, and has since opened restaurants in several cities in the mainland. Chiu Chow cuisine is renowned for its seafood and vegetarian dishes and regarded as the premium choice for fine dining in China.

Carrianna Chiuchow restaurants serve authentic Chiu Chow dishes and offer meticulous services. The superior quality of Carrianna’s food and services has garnered widespread popularity and earned long term loyalty from its clientele in Hong Kong and many cities across China.

Carrianna Chiuchow restaurants open in many major cities: Beijing, Shanghai, Hainan, Kunming, Wuhan, Hunan, Foshan, Shenzhen and Hong Kong, and are probably the largest chain of high end Chiuchow restaurants in China.

The Group has plans to expand into the casual dining sector in Hong Kong and China.

In recent years, we have extended our Carrianna brand into hotel business. Currently, the Group owns and operates the five-star Yiyang Carrianna International Hotel in Yiyang, Hunan province and the four-star Carrianna Hotel, in Foshan, Guangdong province.

The 330-room Yiyang Carrianna International Hotel comprises a three-building complex with a total area of 53,000 square metres. It is located in Yiyang’s urban centre adjacent to the municipal government buildings and a city centre golf course. The hotel is renowned in Yiyang and Hunan province for offering some of the finest accommodation and facilities for business conferences.

The 152-room Carrianna Hotel Foshan, situated in the bustling heart of the city’s central district, comprises two buildings, totalling 19,000 square metres. It has the distinction of being the oldest hotel in Foshan, famous for its European styled architecture and delicious local cuisine.

The Group is dedicated to offer high quality food products to consumers. The Carrianna brand of moon cakes is a leading brand of moon cakes and enjoys widespread popularity with consumers in the Greater China region, and has become one of the leading brands of moon cakes in the mainland.

The Group operates three food processing factories located in Hainan, Kunming and Shenzhen, which are accredited with ISO9001 certicifcation. The Group aims to further expand Carrianna brand’s product range while extending its nationwide distribution network.
